Mini Layered Whole Wheat Paratha




Easy,Mini layered paratha using whole wheat flour.
Prep Time: 20 minutes .
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Make: approx 24 mini parathas
Ingredients:
  1. Whole wheat flour- 1 cup(extra for dusting)
  2. Brown sugar/white sugar - 2 to 3 tsp
  3. Warm milk- 3 tbsp
  4. Ghee- as required
  5. Salt- to taste
Instructions:

  • In a bowl combine together whole wheat flour,brown sugar,warm milk,1 tsp ghee and salt to taste.Mix well until combined.Now add sufficient quantity of water and  knead to form a soft dough.Spread ghee or oil on top,cover and  set  aside for about 20 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into 2 portions.Take one portion of the dough and roll it into a thin circle,on a lightly floured surface.
  • Spread 1 tsp ghee evenly on the surface .
  • Now sprinkle some flour on the top. 
  • Roll it to form a cylinder.

  • Cut this into 10 or 12 equal parts.Repeat the same for the remaining dough .

  • Drizzle ghee/oil on each disc and set aside for about 5 minutes. 

  • Take each disc and flatten using your fingers or a rolling pin to form small circles.Do not  make them very thin.

  • Heat a pan over medium flame.Place few parathas and cook until the color changes slightly.Flip the parathas and cook for few more seconds.Drizzle ghee/oil on top and cook until golden brown spots appear on both the sides.Squish the parathas between your palms to separate the layers.Serve with raitha or curry of your choice.

    • 1 cup equals  250 ml
